When
purchasing a previously owned
condominium, please be aware
that there are certain things
that the association is
responsible for and that you as
a new owner are responsible for.
Be
certain to do a final
walk-through with the sellers
PRIOR to closing on your home.
Any damage from vehicles to the
garage door, exterior of the
building will ultimately be your
responsibility. Anything
attached to the exterior of the
building outside of the common
space of the association is your
responsibility. Any landscaping
upgrades authorized/unauthorized
are your responsibility once you
take ownership. The association
can/may require you to
maintain/remove upgrades made to
your exterior and landscaping at
your expense!
We have had many
issues where brokers/sellers
have told unsuspecting buyers
that walkways, shrubs, damaged
garage doors and siding were the
association's responsibility
only to discover later that
those upgrades were not
sanctioned by the association.
